Full time position in Abidjan starting Q2 2021.

 

Key responsibilities

 

The Candidate will oversee the origination and execution of transactions ranging from €5 million to €150million in value with the following full set of responsibilities in M&A Transactions:

 

o Developing existing relationships and building new ones

o Supports and generates business development and client service activities

o Management and mentoring of analysts and associates

o Leading client meetings and pitches; and providing strategic advice and proposals

o Interact daily with client management teams to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives

o Making sure running projects are managed appropriately, with tasks delegated and reviewedwhere necessary

Educational Requirements

Master’s degree or equivalent in finance or management

Experience Requirements

Minimum 6 years’ experience in a corporate finance position (investment bank, private equity,structured finance, transaction services…) with a significant international working experience

Additional Requirements

•    Deal execution

o Sound knowledge of M&A activities and the ability to apply skills creatively to diverse clientneeds

o    Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple engagements and manage rapidly changingassignments in a team environment

o Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, as well as strong writing and communication skills

o High level of attention to detail and ability to master new tasks quickly

o Written and oral proficiency in English

o A critical thinker who can quickly evaluate and analyze companies and financial information

•    Management of junior staff

o Experience in reviewing analysts and associates work models, valuations, marketingdocumentation

o Ability to delegate and organize teamwork

o Experience and interest in junior staff training and mentoring

•    Business development

o Business development skills

o Ability to come up with innovative solutions to answer potential client needs

o An interest or previous experience in African or emerging markets private equity or M&A industry
