Responsibilities
·
Oversee the entire construction project, ensuring
it is completed within the specified timeframe and budget.

Determine and define scope of work and
deliverables
·
Provide direction over contracts and
subcontracts
·
Determine resources needed to complete project
·
Manage construction schedule and activities
·
Select and manage subcontractor and supplier
relationships
·
Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs
and timelines
·
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and
contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
·
Manage project resources efficiently, including
labor, materials, and equipment.
·
Implement and enforce safety regulations on the
construction site.
·
Provide regular project updates to stakeholders,
addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
·
Monitor and control project budgets, expenses,
and financial forecasts.
·
Collaborate with government authorities, local
communities, and other relevant stakeholders.
·
Ensure compliance with building codes,
regulations, and quality standards
·
Resolve any disputes or issues that may arise
during the construction process.
·
Supervise and lead a multidisciplinary project
team.
Educational Requirements
Master’s
Degree in Construction Management or equivalent Master’s Degree in
Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or Civil/Structural Engineering.
Registration
as a professional by the relevant Board.
Engineering
practicing license (mandatory for Civil Engineers).
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 15 years of general experience in the supervision of construction projects.
Minimum of 15 years of specific experience on projects of similar nature and scope.
Experience in a similar capacity in the construction supervision of three (3) projects of similar magnitude and complexity in the last fifteen (15) years.
Additional Requirements
Excellent
communication and interpretation skills.
Strong
leadership and management skills
High
degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and
conditions
Ability
to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
Comfortable
reading and understanding blueprints and drawings
Demonstrated
knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
Proficiency
in Microsoft Package Software, including Microsoft Project.
