Responsabilités
Duties
• Manage and coordinate of all imports and exports into and across West Africa including securing
all permits associated
• Ensure safe movement of products, including development of carrier/s safety standards in line
with best practices and Safe, Security & Quality procedures in the Company
• Ensure that our inventory is appropriately accounted for in all storage locations through monthly
perpetual counts.
• To ensure that all our infrastructure in the form of warehouses and magazines meet the minimum
standards required by the Company
• Ensure that the Company complies with legislative requirements in each country we operate
• Ensure the computation and monitoring of landed costs (accuracy and timeous turnaround being
a key output)
• Plan, organise and coordinate the supply, storage and distribution of products and services
produced or distributed by the Company
• Prepare and implement plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost
• Operate recording systems to track all movements of supplies and finished products across West
Africa
• Liaise with other functions and customers to ensure timely delivery products
• Develop strategic initiatives, by analysing logistic problems and producing new solutions to
address them
• Responsible for developing and meeting budgets defined
• Responsible for all levels of the distribution team development and create a work environment
focused on positive reinforcement through clear accountabilities
• Ensure compliance with regulations for services delivered to specific customers
• Overcome problems of stock visibility and traceability, improve picking accuracy, avoid losses
made through non-deliveries, wrong deliveries, returns and service level fines
• Manage the relationships and execution of contracts for carriers
• Integrate critical management tools including reporting, analytics and dashboards
• Support delivery of Regional Supply Chain Strategy operations and processes
• Execute the monthly and weekly distribution plans working with Manufacturing teams,
downstream businesses, and third parties
• Help coordinate market intelligence and knowledge to establish industry-leading practices for
safety improvements
• Work with team to find improved efficiency and productivity of warehouse operations
• Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process
improvements
• Conduct periodic audits for logistics activities, such as storage, distribution, or transportation
• Proactively resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports and exports,
and customer issues.
• Ensure carrier compliance with company policies and procedures for product transit or delivery
• Direct distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy and
timeliness objectives.
• Support managerial planning and commercial decision-making tasks by providing appropriate
distribution/shipping information and undertaking related distribution administration.
• Assist in the preparation of tenders and budgets and budgetary control
Exigences scolaires
Master in Logistics
Expérience requise
• Minimum 10 years experience in a manufacturing, mining or FMCG environment
• Must have experience in distribution and supply chain management
Exigences supplémentaires
• Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
• Distribution requirements planning and inventory management
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
Other skills (languages, IT, other technical knowledges):
• Proficient in English and French (both mandatory)
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access)
• Previous experience in Oracle would be advantageous
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
