Responsabilités
MISSIONS
Under the
supervision of the country Director he will:
· Coordinate all aspects of
leadership, negotiation, compliance, profitability and governance for
transports and logistics activities in Cameroon and The CEMAC Zone.
· Organize the activities for entity
teams throughout the CEMAC Zone to ensure continuous strive for operational
excellence and profitability
· Responsible for overseeing the
development of local policies, procedures and objectives for the operations functions
throughput the organization in accordance with overall regional strategies and
policies
ACTIVITIES
· He will be expected to provide
measurable input into the group business strategy
· The position will be responsible for
setting & delivering objectives which are within the strategy &
business plans of the area
· The incumbent will be expected to be
creative in proposing improvements (enhancements and modifications) to existing
systems, practices and approaches and influence working methods to execute the
instructions of the regional head
ACOUNTABILITIES
· Drive cost leadership principals as
a mandatory practice throughout the area. Responsible for reporting and performing sufficient cost control.
· Holds accountability for all
financial and non-financial targets for logistics, transports and container
handling services in the area
· Responsible for the management of
the company Head office and remote sites
· Evaluates the financial results of
activities by regularly analyzing the P/L with the key leaders and taking
measures to correct deviations, leverage opportunities, and ensures forecasted
results are attained or surpassed
· Actively contributes to the
development of revenue and market share
· Responsible for ensuring that the
local organization and infrastructure are at all times geared and prepared to
handle future growth
· Discernable contribution to the
resolution of regional business strategic issues and priorities
· Support the region in evaluating
divestment opportunities and strategic fit of existing structure within the
country
· Responsible for the development of five-year
plan for the country encompassing people development/ business profitability
and grow/safety & services enhancements
· Measures and communicates results to
the organization (periodically)
· Observes social, economic and
political trends that might ultimately have an effect upon the company, and
makes recommendations to enhance the company’s investment based on those
trends.
Exigences scolaires
BAC+4/5 in
Management or MBA, specialization in Transport & Logistics is preferable
Expérience requise
· Advanced skills and knowledge to
lead teams throughout different disciplines
· Proven Management experience in a
similar position in the transport & logistics industry alternatively
related industry within supply chain management
Exigences supplémentaires
· Detailed understanding of the
various links between functional areas
· Sound knowledge of transport
operations, project management and investment analysis
· Excellent negotiation and
relationship building skills on all levels
· Good communication skills
· Trustworthy, ambitious and able to
work highly independently and in teams
· Ability to provide leadership,
obtain cooperation and promote a team environment to meet objectives
