Responsibilities
Oversee all Accounting and Administrations
tasks for the subsidiary as may be directed
Duties & Responsibilities
· Prepare monthly and annual
close of the accounting to facilitate the reporting to HQ in Spain
(accruals, GEs, PEs, etc.)
- · Maintain control over the accounting
books (OHADA and IFRS)
- · Ensuring both accounting books
are reconciled at all times and there are no discrepancies between the
different accounting GAAPs.
- · Providing all financial documents including
invoices, accounting descriptions and all documents to Shared Service
Center.
- · Review the monthly and annual
taxes with help of local advisors.
- · Ensure compliance of all tax
related policies required by the DGI (registration of service contracts,
etc.)
- · Preparing monthly payment
forecasts and ensuring key suppliers are paid on time and cash flow
remains in accordance with the forecast.
- · Carry out cash
planning to ensure payment of vendors in accordance with corporate working
capital management policies.
- · Ensuring there are no old
receivables that remain unpaid and, if so, reaching out to the client or
starting the legal process with the bailiff.
- · Coordinating
Foreign Exchange authorizations.
- · Provide
financial/accounting analysis on subsidiary’s operations and other adhoc
requirements to regional management
- · Play significant
role in carrying out cash transfers between countries as necessary
- · Be the main
communicator of the subsidiary with the Banks for specific requests,
inquiries or payments
- · Participating in
the annual Budget preparation
- · Ensure follow-up
of insurance for all matters relating to the subsidiary including Maxam
owned vehicles
- · Ensure all
explosives permits remain active and are periodically renovated.
Educational requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or
Economics
Experience requirements
· Plus 6 years’ experience
- · Professional qualification - partly
qualified
Additional requirements
· Knowledge of Financial and
management accounting (Ohada and IFRS)
· Knowledge of budgets and
budgetary control
· Knowledge of treasury and
cash management
· Attention to details
· High level integrity
· Knowledge in computerized
accounting
· Proficiency in SAP or Oracle
· Analytical skills
· Knowledge of taxation
· Knowledge of corporate law
· Knowledge of audit and
attestation
· Knowledge of internal
control and data entry in an advanced software
· Knowledge of the use of
management science tools for both situations of certainty and uncertainty
